Our company is an IC components distributor not a manufacturer, we are not in the field of the energy intensive/ energy consumption industry. Therefore, we are not in the risk of such regulations so obligate.

(B) The actual risk resulting from the climate change toward enterprise.

Our company is an IC components distributor and in the midstream of the supply chain .Following the negative impact of the greenhouse gas emission toward climate and environment, the natural disasters of all kinds including flood, typhoons, drought have been escalated caused of the greenhouse effect, the intensity and breadth also have been escalated. Thus it might impact our company for the source control of our supplier’s products and the delivery schedule for our customers once there is a natural disaster occurred.

(C) The opportunities from the climate change

The slogan of “Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction” has been a main demand of the electronic products caused from the climate change. As a distributor of the IC components, we actively discover any chances for the franchise of the related solutions to help “Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction”. The Power Management IC our company distributes is an example for the most efficient power management to build a more stable, more efficient and low power consumption 3C electronic product. The demand for the green energy has been increased due to climate change, therefore seeking for the franchise for the green energy products has become one of the main targets of our business development division.

B、The strategy, method, target of the greenhouse gas management of the enterprise.

(A) The strategy toward climate change and greenhouse gas management of the enterprise.

We have cooperated aggressively with our suppliers and customers to lower down the impact of the environment from the products we distribute. Apart from the quality demand we request our suppliers, we also actively communicate with our suppliers for the production process including manufacture, transportation, usage, disposal to reduce the impact of the environment. Those indexes of the environmental achievements appear on the products are carbon track, water track and other environmental track. Thus we build a strong management for the hazardous material control, pollution prevention, energy, water conservation and trash reducing in our offices and warehouses, and we hope to gradually set up a green supply chain with the industries of upstream (suppliers), midstream (us), and downstream (customers).

(B) The target for the reducing of the greenhouse gas emission.

We expect to reduce 1~2% every year compared to the greenhouse gas emission of the last year.

(C) The budget and plan for the reducing of the greenhouse gas emission of the enterprise.

  • Adopt e-process, e-paper instead of the printed paper to reduce paper consumption.
  • We use the original package for outbound shipment from our company to our customers to reduce the over package of the products and avoid any extra package including extra boxes.
  • To instruct energy, water conservation policy to reduce the greenhouse gas emission. To control the air-con operation period and temperature and light off during lunch break, to encourage the use of stairs instead of elevators.
  • Starting Oct of 2014, we gradually used the LED lighting to replace the traditional T5 lighting in our offices and warehouses.

(D) The carbon reduction effect to customers and consumers brought by the enterprise’s products and services.
